Normally I line dry the diapers in the backyard. I had to go to 4 stores until I found a stupid retractable clothes line, and the ones I did find are so cheap and crappy. I got 2 to use until Amos builds a good clothesline in the yard next month. I can barely fit 2 days of diapers on the line so I can't wait until I have a bigger and better one so I can also hang the cloth wipes, wet bag and laundry bag up to dry. Oh and one of the lines on the crappy set broke already and I had to MacGyver it back together. woo.. It's laundry day today and rainy. My first attempt at drying a full diaper load inside. I have everything hanging on clothes hangers on the shower curtain rod. Fun stuff!

(ignore the dirt.. the previous owners had a pool in the backyard and we're working on growing grass)

I love the diapers hanging on the clothesline!
We've been full-time in cloth now for almost 2 weeks! What works for us overnight (which I was SUPER nervous about the first couple of nights) is to use a hemp insert. The ones I got are Stuffins (I think, they're in Tyler's room, and he's sleeping..). It's like this massive insert, with another pocket at the front that another smaller hemp insert goes into. We use that under the microfiber insert that came with the FuzziBunz, and he's not had one leak! Way better success than with the overnight pampers or huggies with the diaper doubler in.
So, totally give hemp a try! Just remember to either wash it with towels or sheets on hot 4-5 washes, or boil and wash and dry a couple of times on hot to get the oils that hemp carries out! That's what my CD store told me, and I've found them to be super absorbant. Way better than the 3 microfiber inserts that we were doing before, just to make it through the night! He still has a bit of "ghetto-booty" like my husband likes to call it, but it's working :)
Tyler loves his new diapers, and enjoys choosing the color of the next one he will wear! Won't be long until Madelyn starts doing that too!
